Hey everyone I have dobro eggs again! I dropped the temps by 2-4 degrees and raised them again and -tada- eggs. I havent seen any courting behavior so they may be duds. This is kinda exciting because I wasnt expecting eggs.

Hey AJ,

That is kind of early..... or late this season! :D
Hope you will have fertile ones,...

Congrats and good luck!

It is early in the season for having eggs. I think they will just lay a couple now and a bunch later in the season. I hope they are not duds. Thanks.

Good to hear AJ, your juvies/sub-adults are very beautiful and I expect more of the same!

Mitch

Thankyou for the kindwords Mitch. I hope to raise more larvae again. It is quite fun and there are a few things I will do better this time, actually a lot. I learned alot.

Just wondering, why was my thread moved to the Newt/Salamander help section? I dont need any help with anything. Just sharing information.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
