Eggs 11 days old now got some fungus...? help please!

Hi all

This egg hatching business is harder than it looks!!

My eggs are about 11 days old now i think, and were forming really well. I was doing the day water changes etc as advised and all was going well, now they seem to have a fungus/mould growing on the outer egg/jelly stuff...

Can i get rid of this? Any advice as i really dont want to lose them now!!

Are you sure it's fungus? Some eggs will go a little cloudy with the egde of the eggs 'fraying' a little and deterioration of the slime as time goes on.

Try cleaning the inside of the tub - water changes are OK, but you can get a build up of slime/bacteria on the surfaces of a tub.

If you're sure it's fungus take the affected eggs out and discard them. If you can't do that isolate them until they hatch, then move the babies ASAP to a clean tub.
