One of my eggs has hatched tonight!!
But the larvae is only bout 8mm, is this bad? I'm going out tomorrow to get some live brine shrimp! Should I start feeding it after 1 day or 2?
Thanks
Alice

Live brine shrimp will be too big for the babies to eat unfortunately, what you should look into are baby brine shrimp. You can buy eggs and hatch them yourself or possibly find someone with a brine shrimp set up, who has some babies.
Newly hatched axolotls can go about 2 to 3 days without food, give it a day or two and maybe some others will hatch.
Good luck :)

Right, brine shrimp eggs take about 2 days to hatch, so feeding them on day 1 doesn't look like an option! But they should be fine, assuming that you find brine shrimp eggs and they hatch out OK for you. Good luck!

If you are able try to, get some live daphnia whilst you get your brine shrimp set up running.
That way if the shrimp dont hatch at least you will have an alternative food supply.
Just remember to rinse any food you give them first.
Good look.

Buy a sea monkey set up(sea monkeys are brine shrimp) if you can't find anything. You can normally get them at toy shops and that for about $16 AUS. To easy!

Sorry that's all I can think of.

I got my brine shrimp eggs today! Had to go to 4 aquarium shops to find them though!
One more of my eggs has hatched! cute little squiggles!!:p

Makign sea monkeys can be fun. I have some axie cooking as well. I have found sea salt to be a great salt to use when making them.

If anyone else needs them they are on ebay, both from U.S sellers and Australian sellers

Aparently they are hard to get in the U.K
