Trust me. You don't want to buy a newt off the net. It would be easier to catch your own eft. You live in PA right? I live in Western New York, and you can find newts here. Red efts can be found in PA in the wild. Newts don't live long when they're shipped. It would probably die in a day from trauma.

thanx i tried to catch a pair of red spotted newts @ my grandparent and i could not get them 2 eat so i had to let go what should i feed them if i catch 1 thanx

It is possible to get good quality newts shipped to you. However, in general want ads need to be in the correct section and approved by the moderators but in this case the ad would have been denied as this is a request for what are in all probability for wc newts.

Also be aware that in Pennsylvania, red spotted newts have a possession limit of 2 and you need a fishing license to collect them.

Really? I didn't know that, but here in Cheektowaga New York, there are no laws against catching and keeping unless you're in an Audubon Society or a state park like Allegheny state park. I guess I'm lucky to live in New York.
