Hey, I have about 25 or so newly hatched Axolotl larvae at the moment, they're all about 3 days old now and i was wondering if there is any easy way of knowing if they're actually taking to their food? I realise that to begin with they just go on their egg yolk supplies etc and they're in a tank with many Daphnia for them whenever they want it - but I can't seem to work out if they've actually begun feeding yet. besides actually seeing one catch something is there a way of telling by looking at them? they do occasionally swim for a second or two in a 'hunting' motion, but i have yet to see one actually succeed...
thanks!

As the larvae are quite transparent you can usually see the food in their stomach area. With the live food in the early days it helps having the water quite shallow as this will concentrate the food source.
