So, I have 10 Eastern Newt larvae and 9 of them are 2 months old or so. They have all developed their back legs. I have one more, who is about four months old. When he was 2 months old, he had started developing his back legs. He was housed with another one who died randomly. I think that one may have bitten the legs off at one point. They were well fed, but that's the only reason I could think of that would make the legs disappear. Well, its been about a month and a half sine the other one died, and this one still has no back legs. I'm concerned because she has shown no improvement in his back legs. When he goes to swim, he wiggles his hips like he's trying to walk instead of using his tail to jet forward quickly. When he gets frustrated trying, he just uses his tail to more. It seems like he knows something is wrong. He is well fed of daphnia, blood worms, black worms, cyclops, and other small aquatic insects. The other 9 are developing much more quickly and I'm concerned about this little guy. Whats wrong? He's well fed, water quality is fine, water temperature is about 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
For anyone who wanted to see pictures, I have some to show off here:

Looking back, its amazing to see how much they have changed in such a short time. The Mer-Newt is not there in that album by the way.
