Eastern newt and comet goldfish

can you keep comet goldfish with an eastern newt? If not, what fish tankmates are good for newts?

Goldfish and salamanders of all types don't mix. The only good tank mates for a newt is another newt of the same species. And even that's not always a good mix. Mixing can be pretty dangerous.
