Easiest???

What is the easiest species of Caudate to keep?

I have had no luck with Paddle Tails. I favor newts, but like salamanders. I would buy the spcecies from a breeder, partly because it is the right thing to do nd partly becaus buth my newts had pet store illnesses.

There are a lot of newts that are easy to keep. Most newts do good as long as the temps dont get too high, water quality is good, and have a good food source. Some good beginner newts would be ribbed newts, blue tailed firebelly newts, crested newts, etc. These species either are or will soon be available from breeders. Of course there are more easy species but those are just a few.
