One of my babies is definitely male - and I mean there is NO doubt. But he is only 6 months old (hatched last week of Jan) and 7 inches.

I only noticed because I put him in a bag for transport. I'm going to have to check the others now, the last thing I want is my babies producing more babies! I can segregate any obvious males, but obviously can't distinguish between females and immature males.

What's the earliest you've had a juvie show signs of sexual maturity?

I have an approximately 6 inch juvenile(about 5 months old I think) which is definitely a male. He is a pretty olive green gfp wild.
Not sure if he would actually be able to breed at this age, though.

Hi AuntieJude
The light wildtype i got from you, might just be my eyes but for the past couple of weeks ive been thinking his cloaca is looking a lot more prominent than my other 3. As he's so young i thought i was just imagining it haha! But prehaps he really is a he! I hope so since his name is johnny...
I will try and get a side photo soon of him

Bad photo so difficult he wont stay still. Im starting to notice it from the top now as well
