So I've made like 2 other forum posts about this, no one has answered so I don't know what to do really. I have not seen my axolotl use the bathroom at all this month. She's not lethargic, she's eating, she's not being overly aggressive. She's not distended, or bloated. She usually has 1 large, solid movement every 7-10 days but it's been a while. I am really starting to worry, even though she's not acting strange. Could someone please give some input on this?
Her water parameters are fine, ammonia and nitrites are at 0, pH is 7.6, she's in a 20 gallon long, two sponge filters, ultra fine sand as the bottom. She hasn't had worms in like 2 weeks mainly because our fridge just exploded and we're still waiting for the new one to be delivered so she's been living off her standard pellets, which she eats with absolutely no problems, no rejection. It has been hard to maintain her temp since the freezer her ice and ice packs are in, is now full of garbage from the old fridge that my mom refuses to throw out. Not to mention last week it was 84 out and 2 nights ago is 37, so her tank can go from 62 to 66 in the matter of only a few hours.
She had a bout of fungus in October and February, no major problems there. She gets weekly water changes, usually 60% of the water. Sometimes, usually only once a month, I take her out and put her into her tub, and then do a much larger water change. Last time I did one, I removed everything. Her filters, drift wood, fake plants, I removed them all, expecting to find some bathroom waste. Found nothing.
