Just a quick question; has anyone ever used Quick Start on an axxie tank or does anyone know if it is safe? My Axxie is currently in a hospital tank having her water cleaned daily, on a diet of Yorkshire Dendrobaenas.
I am cycling her 15 Gallon tank without her and am currently testing it every 2 days for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Whenever I do a water change (anything from 20 - 40% depending on ammonia readings) I use Stress Coat +, which I know for sure to be safe. Her hospital tank receives the same treatment.
I know opinion is heavily divided on Quick Start (or any 'bacteria in a bottle' treatment), but I thought I'd give it a try as I'd love to get Toothless back into a cycled, roomy tank sooner rather than later. She probably won't be going in there for a good few weeks yet, but can anyone tell me if they think she'll be okay? I got a little worried as I haven't seen a lot of API products approved for amphibians apart from the Stress Coat +
