Hello, just a quick one, i have some Larvae that i have kept separate in a container and noticed that they didnt seem to be eating. So i put a lot of daphnia in with them yesterday. This morning i noticed that all the Larvae had bright red bellies. This may sound like a stupid question but does this mean that they have been eating?

That depends on the food you give.
Daphnia turn red when the oxigen level is low, so when eaten, they can turn red.
Since small larvae are partly transparent, you can clearly see when they ate.

If you fed them baby brineshrimp the axie larvae bellies would turn bright orange and with feeding mosquito larvae their bellies would appear dark brown or black.

The answer is yes they have been eating. Try different foods and as Kapo says they will have different coloured bellies
