Hi there, I have a ribbed newt with a disability in one arm.

He can't move it, he has a sore on it and I've ointed him with several recommended ointments but to no avail... also tried the almond leaves, nothing happened.

His disabled arm has changed its colour, too.

Did anyone have this problem before with newts or other salamanders? If not disabled arms, legs?

I have a picture posted of the wound, but my little buddy's got worse since I took it. He swims with just one arm, goes to the surface for a breath and comes back down, as if nothing ever happened to him. He also eats his meals. I just wanted to know if that could kill him in the long run.

I'll post an updated pic soon.

Thanks!

I don't know if you might want to amputate it or just let it fall off. It'll grow back. Anyone?
