I've just been watching my two babies and totally out of the blue my golden albino started digging all the sand away from the corner of the tank...it was like she (I say she but it may be a he) was having some sort of fit! Then she abruptly stopped and walked off. The digging was then taken over by my wild type who is now sitting on the mound of sand they generated.

Is this normal behaviour as I've never seen them do it before?

Mine used to do that when a worm had managed to escape and bury itself in the sand. What do you feed them?

they did have earthworm for lunch but i'm pretty sure none of it escaped...Fat Harry never lets anything escape lol :D

Maybe it was just hopeful to find a worm!

Axies do all sorts of strange things that we don't fully understand. Like mounding up sand to play king of the hill.
