Hi Guys,

I have been in all the different aquatic stores in my area to find some live feeder fish or some salmon or trout pellets for my axis but none of them have any fish or pellets so until now i have been feeding them only bloodworms but i want to give them something else..

I was wondering if I for instance can feed them some fresh or frozen salmon like the fish you buy in supermarkets for human food..?

The store are not very helpful for giving information about where i can find some alternate food for my axis so i hope some of you can help me..

Thanks.

Have you tried bait and fishing tackle shops for earth worms?

Definitely make earthworms the staple. Bloodworms and your other planned options are very incomplete foods and will eventually lead to trouble.

You can get a worm farm going if you can get some worms - try organic gardening suppliers too. Pellets are an acceptable alternative, you can buy them online, but salmon and white fish aren't the best food. In the wild they would eat a mixture of insects, insect larvae, invertebrates, small fish, shrimp and small molluscs, in captivity worms are the best nutrition.
