Differences in skin texture in C. orientalis.

My pair of cynops are doing good, they eat great and seem to like their house.
But yesterday i noticed something that at least for me is weird.
The female´s skin is very granular looking, while the male´s looks softer.
Also while the male swims around and moves a lot, the female walks slowly, grabbing everything she is on with her legs. It´s like if she was rubbing herself against everything. But she is not using her cloaca...so i guess it´s not the normal egg-laying behaviour. Plus they haven´t mated as far as i know and there are no eggs.
I think it´s weird...it looks like if she was afraid of floating or being pushed by the current.
any ideas?? I don´t know if both issues are related.

She may have that terrestrial urge and not like swimming around as much as the others. Some of my C.O. have more smoother skin than the others but that is because they swim more often than the others. She still has that tough terrestrial skin and is getting used to the water. Soon it will be smooth like the male's skin.

thank you very much

I was curious. I´ll see if it changes.
It makes sense since now she is on land. I think it´s what you said...she is still more terrestrial and getting used.
