This is gonna sound really stupid but I got this bedding I was going to use for Jasper's terrestrial tank and stupid me had thought i was going to need it immediately and so i opened it up and added water to it. Anyway the point is, is that when I had added water I didnt think to dechlorinate the water and im wondering if this could hurt him? If it could, is there someway to fix this? cause its a rather large amount

It should be fine, just give it a couple of days and the chlorine will release and all should be fine

Oh im so glad! I really didnt want to have to throw all that away. Thank you so so much!!:D

No problem. I've done it before. If you ever run out of dechlorinator, you can just set a jug of water out for a day or 2 and it will be fine

Fancy that... a newt named after me. ;)

On a more serious note, you should check to see if your water supply has chlorine or chloramine in it (Google should return it). Chlorine dissipates in a day or so (longer if it is not aired), but chloramine takes days, if not weeks..

Well I always loved the name Jasper and so I thought it fitting.
I checked and im pretty sure my water doesnt have chloramine. But im glad you brought that to my attention because I definitley wouldnt have thought of that

Chloramine doe NOT dissipate; the bonds need to be chemically broken with a dechlorinating agent.
