If an axolotl was exposed to extreme heat during shipping and acclimated into a cool aquarium after seemingly being dead and somehow coming back to life, what are the chances it will survive?

I think it will make it! I had this once with young ones I was raising! When I came home one of them ( they were about 7 cm long by then) was floating upside down, mouth open, completely pale and no movement whatsoever. I took it out, held it under cold streaming water , while gently pushing his chest. Then i put him back into a container and kept pushing him and then! A faint move of a limb! An hour later he was swimming again. He completely recovered! No case is the same but i would say he certainly has a chance!

I had this happen with a different species and it lived about just short of a week. Good luck.

How's it going?
I've had very rare issues with young fire salamanders (4 months out of water) which appear dead. They don't move and they don't respond to prodding etc and without my previous experience of this I'd say they were dead.but I've come to know to leave them and they recover. My litmus test as it were is to look at their eyes. If they are clear, moist and bright then as far as I'm concerned they are alive and where there's life there's hope. Im very pleased to hear yours made a recovery too at a time when you might have made a different action.

He or she is doing very well. Has grown quiet a few inches. Sorry for the long wait to reply. I still am learning to access my posts on here.
