This spring my firebellies graced us with some eggs that my roommate and I decided to let hatch out. By and by we had some tadpoles that we fed live baby brine shrimp initially and then moved up to frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp.
After morphing we dutifully moved the new efts into ventilated and escape proof tupperware containers with brown papertowel for a substrate. We currently have 40 efts that we are feeding frozen blood worms and we are wondering about the quality of their diets. Due to the circumstances we are not able to feed them live feeders. So while they are getting nice and fat and seem to be growing on the frozen bloodworm diet I want to make sure that they are getting all the nutrients they need.
Has anyone ever used Herptivite multivitamins for their newts?
Also how often should the efts be fed?
I am currently feeding them as much as they will eat twice a day.
