Cycling Tank

I had to pull down my big tank and I've just restarted it. My two axolotls were placed into a smaller tank, and I'm just wondering how soon can I put them back into the tank?
I usually let my tank cycle for a week but I don't want my axies together in a small tank for too long.

If you have used squeezings from your first filter and old water from the tank, you cut down the cycle time, I had a tank cycle in about 4 days using this method.

Sadly I couldn't due to worms in the tank and white spot. Everything has been cleaned out.
