Long story short I upgraded my tank about 3 weeks ago with the intent of adding 2 new newts, switched over all the substrate, water, plants, filter media etc.) and it was doing good. I was doing frequent 10-20% water changes due to tannins from some new driftwood. Well everything was doing good and I added the new newts.
now my waters all cloudy, noticed it a bit before the new girls but thought it was those tannins again. But after added them it got cloudier.
I think I crashed my cycle with the water changes and adding the 2 new newts. At least the tannins aren’t bad anymore
7ph, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate
Obviously there should be some nitrates there. Someone recommended to stop with the water changes and let everything settle so I’ve been trying that with frequent water tests.
I have lots of live plants.
I don’t have another tank to pull media from unfortunately. (Could maybe ask around if needed?)
Any suggestions?
