Hayley, I think his gills have grown more luxurious since I've had him, he's such a show off!

lol those pics are so cute, your axie looks a lot like my leucistic one, except that mine is a girl.lol
i dont know if anyone else has noticed but do leucistic axies seem more photogenic than other colours?lol

I always think its like some kind of moon walk they do when they perch like that, No gravity Man!!!

Yeah, they really seem to like the zero gravity thing, it cracks me up!

I couldn't possibly say if leucistic axies seem more photogenic than others since i'm probably biased!

Si, do you have any new pics of Miguel? Would be lovely to see his smiley face again

Your little man is gorgeous! And just quietly, I am convinced that Axolotls are one of the most eccentric creatures on the planet

Hi Sherri & Joanne!

I haven't been around for a little bit and just thought I'd come back and visit you guys on this lovely forum!

I do indeed have more pics, I will make sure I post a few this week!!

Miguel is currently on "holiday" in a storage container next to his tank as I've just taken out all the gravel and replaced it with sand. Just waiting for it all to clear then i'll test the water and if all is well he can go home!

I'll take a few pics of him in his mobile home too. He seems to really love it in there actually, I hope he likes his new improved home!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
