Crocodile Newt Hates Crickets

For some reason my female crocodile newt hates crickets but loves earthworms. Is this normal, do some salamanders have a food preference. Also, what would i feed to it to supplement its diet?

Hi Viv,
this behavior is perfectly normal, but all newts tend to prefer one type of food in relation to others. The food preference varies with the species of animal, but everyone loves the earthworms, at least this is what I tell my personal experience! To vary the diet of tylos can for instance give them white worms and springtails, both agree very well.
