I'm going to use a plastic storage box, as a terrarium/tank for my fire salamanders.

Problem is, that my room is 23 degrees. (No radiator/heater turned on, and window always opened) How can I keep the box cooler than my room? This is without a top on the box.

Another problem is moist. How can I keep it moist in the box? Have anyone built something useful, that you could buy somewhere?

Hello,
try going to the caudata culture, there you have an article that tells how you can keep the terrariums / aquariums at the appropriate temperature.
By the way do not forget that within the setups where temperatures are below room temperature.
Just try it you place clay under the substrate, because it absorbs the excess temperature and return it to where it is missing!
Not clear, you said that the box has no cover? If so you place a good, if you do not want to go hunting salamanders of the house! lol So why the cover helps to retain moisture better, just that has only a few holes for ventilation.
I hope I helped!
cheers

Specific link? Can't seem to find anything on there, about tempratures.

The computer fan project looked pretty cool and easy. Think I will try that.
