Happy New Year everyone!

What are your plans for this year?

Mine:
Try out my new snowboard in 2 weeks!
Get a new job!
Move house!
Win the lottery/retire
Raise some newts from eggs! (first must obtain some)
Get a second green rep square!

Amen to yours Rob! Earning myself that second green square will mean I've learnt lots of new stuff and passed it on, that's always a good way to spend a year. Plus it'll look cool next to my name ;)

I plan to play bass a lot more - barely touched it this year for one reason or another. And to produce at least one new piece of artwork a week - another thing I sorely neglected in 2010. I scaled this down from a guy who did a new piece every day for 2009, but I'm fairly realistic about my likelihood of doing that, haha! Gotta fit the xbox in somewhere ;)

Ohhh and happy new year everyone!

Happy new year! My plans are to get a leucistic Axolotl for the new year. We may also get an American Bulldog.

So did anybody stay up last night to watch the ball drop on TV?
I wasn't able to because the TV was acting up. Right when you want to use technology, it fails. Isn't life wonderful?

Again, I want to wish everybody a blessed new year. :D

Get a second green rep square!

wow, all you have to do is wish it and it becomes true!

psycho, yup, we stayed up til midnight, but to be honest, i'm rarely in bed before 2 anyway! i don't have a TV, but am surrounded with enough technology that we knew when midnight hit - mostly through the noise of the neighbours, and fireworks!!

hope your pet plans become real for the new year :)

Haha thank you, the user control panel actually says I have 3! It seems to be a points system. Now what am I going to do the rest of the year!

Come on, lots of people have viewed this thread, but not many have posted, lets have some more posts!

Everybody is so shy!

I forgot one more plan for the new year---I want a green square too!

2011 is just 2010 plus one...

I'm still angry I don't have a flying car with onboard AI and front grill mounted particle beam weapons...

Johnny, my hubby said the same thing.

We evidently are surrounded by those who forget we're in the Central Time Zone, so gunfire and fireworks started going off at 11, stopped, then started again at 12midnight. Lol. We drank a case of local wine with some friends and played Catchphrase until 2am.

I don't believe in resolutions. If you want to be a better person or achieve something, you shouldn't need a specific day to do that. Do it every day!

That being said, I've started making my preparations for my thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. I'd like to trade my tent for a new, lighter one (anyone want a slightly used Mountain Hardwear Meridian 2, w footprint and stakes?).

You don't have them over the pond? You're missing out!

Totally agree! I think if you want to start doing something start it straight away, plans on the other hand I think are different!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
