Hi Guys,
Wright Whitaker et al are righting a companion to their Amphibian Medicine and captive Husbandry book. It should be a little more than a year till the book comes out.

I'm part of the et al. My chapter is on Keeping and Breeding Crested Newts and Fire Salamanders. The chapter is finished and I need pictures. I've looked into taking the pictures myself and don't have the time or skill.

I need publishable quality pictures of Triturus marmoratus, Triturus dobrogicus in full crest, other Triturus, Mesotriton alpestris apuanas, fire salamanders, Triturus eggs, larvae, and juveniles, good set ups, and larvae and juvenile fire salamanders.

Caudata.org is mentioned in the article and the foot notes. The pictures should be good enough quality to be published. You will receive credit in the book for donating the pictures you took. Dr. Wright says he would like to expand the chapter with more photos. Their is no cash payment.

Please email me any pictures you would like to donate.

Thanks

I unfortunately cannot offer any photographs as I am lacking in both skills and equipment. I am quite thrilled at the publication of a new technical book on amphibian health and care. Can you give us a bit of a preview of the content? Obviously breeding notes are included, but do they include most commonly kept species? Is the book targeted at lay people or technically minded people?

Congratulations for being an author :D

I've only seen two chapters so far. I'll give an update when I have more info. I'd say my chapter should be good for beginners but won't completely bore advanced hobbyists. Justin Y. helped by proofreading and throwing in a few big words.

Hi Michael, I've posted a few marmoratus and mesotriton shots in the past. You're welcome to use any of them (most are in the gallery) - drop me a line if you see one you like.

Hi Mark,
Their are lots of nice T. marmoratus shots of eggs, juveniles, and breeding that are labelled as posted by Mark. The postings don't have the poster profile and all of the info with it. I'll pick out the ones I like this weekend and email you or P.M. How can I figure out which ones you posted. Dr. Wright wants lots of pictures for my chapter.
Thanks
Michael

How can I figure out which ones you posted.

Most posts attributed to "Mark" appear to be mine (at least the ones I've seen). Send me links to the photos you like and if they're mine I'll dig out the originals for you.
