Question: Colors in your tank

I am thinking about re-doing my axolotl's tank (especially now that it's been pointed out to me some of the things the pet store owner who sold me the axolotl claimed were 'okay' are not!). On a somewhat aesthetic level, though, I'm curious: do you find the colors of things in your tank have any effect on your axolotl? If your tank is full of a lot of natural shades such as greens and browns is that best? Or are wacky and bright colors alright as well?

Maybe an unnecessary question, but I'm interested to know nonetheless!
