Cloaca has been open wide all night, with white stuff sticking out. What does this mean?

Ive had to axies for about 6 months. both have black finger tips, i cant really distinguish their cloacas as a huge bulge yet, but the bump on one of them is a bit larger than the other, this is the same one that had its cloaca spread out. She is also much more rounded and full in the abdominal male. Any idea on whether this is male or female, or what this means. She was kinda just floating around the top of the tank and staying on top of the plants. This is unusual ad she is ALWAYS on the bottom.

I am thinking your female is about to lay some eggs for you Mine did 2.5 weeks ago and her cloaca opened up and she was also acting strange swimming around rather randomly and hanging around the plants, have a close look bet you can see a couple of eggs dotted about, my female started off slowly then all of a sudden you could not see the plants for the eggs lol! good luck!

Oh and females are rounder in the tummys than the males but the males have a definate bump underneath and the females dont.

so your thinking shes a female? also this happened last night, and today shes back to normal and i dont see anything. my other axie, has just been acting the same the whole time, so if he is a male then im assuming hes not prepared to release sperm. which is odd cause i feed them the same amount and have had them for the same amount of time and males are supposed to mature earlier. "If he is a female"

are females known to be ready to produce eggs, even if the other axie isnt a male?
