Yesterday I found a small dime sized clear, mucoid, jellylike material in my Tiger Salamander's (I have 2) water dish. Anybody know what it might be?

My first guess is that it's mold forming around a turd or some other manner of organic debris.

Hmmmmm I just cleaned their tank yesterday morning

It could be a spermatophore. They look like jelly like cones. I am unsure if Tigers would deposit these in captivity. Just a thought. A picture might be helpful also.

If I find another one I will try to get a picture.

Could be shed skin, would this turn to a clear jellylike substance if left in the water? I havent found anymore.
