The newt looks like its in a separate container with in the aquarium.

Oh yes. Its a tank inside of a tank. I needed a quick setup for the newts and my larger tanks are full for a while. The little tanks don't stay cool and have huge temperature swings so I put the tank inside of the tank. Its not optimal but its working.
Thats another fun photo op but my camera (or maybe its me) is just not up to photographing a tank inside of a tank. Not to mention the inner tank is a hexagon or octagon or something so its got all these angles and corners to screw things up. Buts its fun watching the axies catch hint of movement inside that tank and they stalk all around. The REAL fun was hooking up a suspended filter so the newts wouldn't climb out. ::: sigh :::
Nah if the newts had been housed WITH the axies - they'd have been a rather large meal. GAH makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it.
