I found this in my Chinese Fire Belly newts tank during cleaning. I wondered if they could be unfertilised eggs, does anyone know?
He or she has always lived alone and there is elodea in the tank.

I suppose you're speaking about the yellow round things ?
Not the good colour. Chinese fire belly newts'eggs are bicolor (brown/white).

They seem to be found in the sand ? FBN usually lay eggs on aquatic plants leaves (are there any ?)

Hi, yeah the round yellow bits in the jelly like thing. I have aquatic plants, Elodea
