Chillers

I was wondering for those who do use a chiller, what chiller you have and how do you like it?

I have just gotten in my chiller below on Wendesday and have had a bit of an issue setting it up as far as hoseclamps and pipes needed - I should have it up and running by today hopefully as it has been quite a project (couple trips to the LFS/Home Depot/Lowe's)

Does anyone have any experience with the one I purchased?

I have the active aqua chiller and haven't had any problems with it so far. I used the hoses that came with my canister to connect the chiller to the tank so I didn't have problems with that. Everything was simple and easy to do and it works like a charm.

I would have used that too but I ran short of it for the output on the chiller. I'm currently omw to Lowes

An update...finally got the chiller hooked up after 4 days. Got the tank from 78 to 64 in about 4 hrs then turned it off. Things are starting to look good !

You turned the chiller off? I don't know how yours work but on my there is a temperature setting so that I can set the chiller to stay around that temperature. Once it reaches the desired temperature it automatically shuts off. My aquarium is always around 63 to 66 degrees.

Yea I actually plugged it back in and set to 75. However I don't have axies yet so I have no reason to keep it that cold.
