Hi everyone!
Recently, I found a GREAT deal on a used aquarium chiller, that the previous owner told me was in great shape. It’s a Pacific Coast CL-450.
Now, I’m a complete newbie when it comes to chillers, but I’m pretty certain I set it up correctly, watched a ton of videos on the set-up and they are all similar to each other. I have one of the hoses connected to a feed pump in my axie’s tank.
However, when I turn the chiller on....(I have the temperature set to 63 degrees Fahrenheit, and it’s on the chiller setting), I notice that the water in my tank isn’t cooling down AT ALL! The temperature on the chiller says the water is 70+ degrees. Actually, it made the water 2 degrees warmer. I’m not sure why but it’s getting really frustrating! I’m hearing the chiller running too, as it kinda sounds like a mini-fridge.
Does anyone have any possible solutions as to why this could be happening? I couldn’t find a manual online for this either...
