Hey everyone!

Sadly I lost my two 8 year old axies to bloat and now without axies i want to take the opportunity to redo my now empty tank.

I cleaned my whole tank because i don't want to risk it to be something contagious.
I will cycle it before any new axies come to live with us.

There have been some things about my tank which i wasnt competely happy about and now is the time to do something about it.

1. I own a juwel rio 180 with the original internal filter. The flow this filter creates is too powerfull. My solution was to connect a tube to it with holes drilled in it. This works but it looks so ugly. Are there any spraybars out there that fit the juwel filters? In pictures i see bars that appear to be bought and they look so much better. Any other solutions you can give me? DIY stuff must be easy stuff for me since i am NOT very handy

2. Chillers. People always talk about how expensive they are. Indeed they are very expensive. I am actually willing to spend something on a chiller but the set up is confusing me. Our tank is in the living room on a typical juwel tank closet. They say you have to put the chiller in another room because otherwise it warms your room where your tank is standing. Are there any elegant options out there? A chiller that you can plug in right next to your tank and doesn't require a lot of plumbing? Pics are welcome!

3. Turtle docs. I want to add a platform in my tank to add floor space. I was looking into turtle docks but they generally float. I dont want to glue something in my tank because i want to be able to remove it if it isnt used. What do you use as platforms?

Any ideas are welcome! Pictures of own set up are nice as well. Thanks!
