Hi,

I just read that Cherry Shrimp breed quickly, and I was thinking of keeping them in the tank with the Axie as a ready food supply, literally just saw something brief so wondered if this is a good idea? if it helps currently my ax is eating earth worms

well i had a 3 yr population of literally hundreds of good quality red cherry shrimp... not even 3 weeks later... GONE.... all of them...LOL. and it was a HEAVY planted tank.. but that doesn't stop the axolotls finding them
and bringing the temp of the tank down to axolotl temps made the shrimp not breed so fast... they prefer warmer water.

Axolotls LOVE them.... but keep them in separate tanks and just put the ones you want eaten into the axolotl tank.... or else they will have a mighty big feast until your left with none.

shrimp are too easy to care for... LOTS of plants and mosses in the tank. just a little food they can scavenge and they will do the rest. oh and always check your filters. the babies get sucked up easily and grow in the filters.... so when you empty them there is always a population of babies and half grown shrimp.
