Nice looking axie Kylie

the gravel looks very nice too but u should really remove it and replace it with sand as axolotl have a habit of eating gravel of that size and will eventually get constipated and is a serious health hazard. from what i can see by the pic, looks like it might be a male, can u post a side on pic ?

yea i agree with rob, get some sand. and i think its male to.

Here are some more pics of my axies ice and jet
we changed to sand today.

Cute! Haha, in the first picture you posted, I thought that.. thing was your axie. I was thinking it was one weird-looking axolotl! What exactly is that thing? It's cool but I can't figure out what it is.

That is my stingray it is connected to the air pump and it opens its mouth and lets bubbles out.
Do u think the black one is a male or female?

can you get a side shot of your wildtype one, so it shows just behind back leg and tail end? Does he/she have a lumpy bit/cloaca (sp?) like ice? Cos if so may be male. Also, what are they things, dark, in the very first photo of ice, left hand side of pic?

btw 2 of our wildtypes look like yours with the grey sides= still not sure what ours are yet, as they are only 7mths old!

Hi! I would say that your wild type is a female because it looks a little chubby. It would help to see another picture.

i was thinking the wildtype may be female too because so chubby, but could also be full of gravel "hope not" think the dark things u are talking about Kapo are air bubbles from the stingray

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
