Used to work, doesn't work now.
Mac OS X 10.3, Safari/IE/Netscape, firewall on or off.
I can still log in and edit my profile, but no longer access chat.

Hi Alan,

Nothing has been changed in our configuration in months. Something must have changed on your end or between your computer and ours. The usual culprits are listed at the bottom of the chat login screen. In your case I am guessing it's a firewall issue.

Best wishes,

John

No, it's not the firewall, can't get on with the firewall on or off.
I recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.3.4 which seems to have broken the chat - maybe a Java issue?
Any other Mac users here?

Only progress there is to toss your computer out the window and...

lol

I primarily work with a Mac as well and found that chat doesn't particularly agree with it. I'm running OSX 10.2 (Jaguar) with Safari, as well as IE. In Safari, the chat program generally causes it to crash, while in IE, new chat text appears at the top of the chat window as opposed to the bottom, and eventually I get an error message.

Now I use my PC to access the chat room and it's been fine, though I've had a bit of a problem using Mozilla when someone posts a picture in chat.

Problem solved! You have to register with chat. This is a different thing to being registered with this site. Previous system upgrade obviously broke my registration somehow. I just reregisterd and can noe chat again!

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. I also asked this as an actual question in a thread in case anyone wants to answer it there instead of here
