Well my little guy died today. I'd had him for almost 2 years and he never seemed entirely healthy. A runt, he was super small and never entered the water but had finally started eating regularly until the past week. Found him dead this morning and upon closer inspection I noticed that lump area between the body and tail was split open and was almost a white color along the edge but not like a cut. Is there any explanation for that? Did I miss any signs of sickness that could have been avoided other than refusal to eat?
