Hi everybody,

That's not a contest (competition, that's not fun...) but why not post some of your drawings of newts and salamanders ?

i've got one of a lissotriton italicus and montadoni. and another of salamandra salamandra fastuosa and triturus marmoratus, but i'd have to scan them.

Hey ! The drawings and logos are very very cool ! Bravo !

will do, they are with me at school, and the scanner is at home, so i should get them at the weekend

Check out my blog site, I have oil paintings of Aneides Aeneus, Ambystoma Jeffersonianum, and Plethodon Caddoensis. There's a lot of other stuff there and the pictures of my Sal paintings aren't as good as some of my others. I have plans for a bunch more but I've been occupied with other projects lately. I have 3 small canvases that I'm going to do some "life size" paintings on. Pl. Yonalohsee is on the agenda.

BTW, Mike Graziano, if you still read this site on occasion, send me a message. Since you so graciously allowed me to use your excellent photos as references, I want you to have the first print of A. Aeneus if I ever do actually get prints made. It's a small token of my appreciation. If anyone keeps in touch with him, could you please pass this info on to him?

John, I'm not sure about this but I think you can still send him a pm through the forum. If not you can send me a pm and I can give you his email.

Thanks Hayden, I wasn't sure if he was still at the same email that Caudata points to. I went ahead and sent him a pm.

Don't know if this counts cos its more of a reptile but I always like the opportunity to share my artwork with others

It got printed on several T-Shirts meanwhile. I made also M. caucasica, T. montandoni and T. alpestris (also on T-Shirt) in this style.

Best Greetings,

Kamil

No, I made it with a CD-Pen an a clear-sheet. Then I scanned the whole thing and edited it on Computer...
This is how it looks when I scan it:

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
