I have 5 FBN nymphs which hatched 5 days ago and are doing really really well and now measure 1 cm. They were only 5mm when born. I'm giving them microworms every day.

Up to now I have been using a turkey baster very very gently to transfer them into a clean container twice a week. Now they're getting bigger (and faster) I feel a bit uncomfortable catching them this way in case I hurt them. I tried with a plastic spoon but they just swim out of it.

So my question is - does anyone have any other system/ideas please  ??

Thankyou

You can also use an air hose, and suck them up a little into the hose. At this way they stay in water, and they'll never be harmed/damaged

Firefly - just wanted to say congrats on your larvae hatching and getting them eating. I've been reading your posts and worrying about your babies!

Thanks everyone - I'll carry on using my turkey baster then.

Aw that's sweet of you Kerry, thx. I'm so relieved hnow that my m/worms are finally growing, altho I haven't actually seen them eating any (never satisfied am I).

There's quite alot of them in with the babies to the extent that they are surrounded by them.

Silly question, but they're not in any way harmful to the babies are they??
