are axolotls hardy, are they demanding in there water conditions? can they withsatnd like say 100% water changes and also my pump only circulates the water and doesnt get air into the tank, just circulates it.. is this ok?

i wouldnt say so from what ive heard (i dont own one as yet) they seems to be quite sensative
but ide say theyde survive if the water was properly cycaled and so on but if u take it from one tank to the other and suffer a large temp change that might kill it(in the same way it does people)

They ARE hardy however 100% water changes means your tank will go through a mini cycle or even a full cycle especially if you dont use water conditioner and ammonia levels can get very high. ammonia even in very small concentrations is deadly to ANY animal.

www.axolotl.org will start you off too. theyre not hard at all IMO, take less work than my other tropicals.

by circulating the water its coming into contact with the air so will be getting airated- thats a good thing, i think you mean you dont have a filter? theyre not a must but do help alot for newbies until they get things sorted

If you just have an internal pump, this could be causing a lot of currant, which axolotls don't like.

its a very small current, but it doesnt matter now i dedicated the tank to a red claw crayfish.... thanks anyways guys and ladys
