Which would be better for a 20ish gallon tank?
Eheim 2232 35 Gallon Ecco External canister filter, Fish Tank, Aquarium, Pump | eBay
Or would this one be better?
Zoo Med Save Your Reptiles 501 at PETCO

The Eheim is a better quality product, but it may be oversized for a 20-ish tank. If you can slow down the flow rate, it might be OK. The ZooMed is more appropriate in terms of flow rate, but it won't last. I have 2 ZooMed 501s that have been in service for 5+ years, but I've had to glue parts together. The tubing on the ZooMed is short and won't fit if your tank is more than 12 inches tall.

If you don't insist that your tank to be filled up to the rim, this filter is effective, easy to clean, and cheap:

Hm, that seems like a good one to but looking through the site i also found Rapids C80 Canister Filter - Up to 20 gal. | ThatPetPlace.com, which one would be better?
