Would these two young axolotls be able to live together in a 15 gallon tank without the smaller one getting hurt? The wild type is a little bit smaller than the golden although they're around the same age. The first picture is probably the best representation of the size difference.

The wild type is just under 2.5" and the golden is just over 3"

I would say so, my siblings had half an in he size difference. As long as they're well fed you shouldn't have any problems with nipping either.

Yup, looks like it should be fine. Be sure to feed them both a lot, the golden so he won't nibble the wildy, and the wildy so that he can grow nice and big :)

The wild type is... I'm not sure what his deal is, he has a hard time eating. He doesn't touch blood worms and he'll only eat pellets if they're floating at the surface right in front of his face. Even then he has a hard time catching them. I'm not sure if he's blind or slow or what but he only manages to eat a few pellets a day and I end up wasting most of the ones I try to give him cause he doesn't notice them on the ground.
The golden eats like a champ.

That's rough luck. I've got some babies who just don't eat well, and they're smaller than the others. Maybe try feeding him small amounts multiple times a day? You might be able to trick him into eating a few extra pellets. Strange that he won't eat blood worms, though.

I try giving him at least 5 to 10 pellets every few hours, he usually will eat one if he's able to get it and then won't eat again for a few hours.

What kind of plants do you keep in their habitat?

I switched things up a bit since I posted this. I put the golden with my other axolotl in a 50 gallon and put the little wild type by himself in a 15 gallon. In the pics they each had a fake plant a few rocks a moss ball and an anubis(?) leaf. All the stuff came over from the 15 gallon tank so I put them over to have some good bacteria.

What if you get some live bloodworms from the petstore? Maybe they will entice him to eat?

I don't think any pet stores around here sell live bloodworms. Just mealworms.. I started harvesting earth worms for him and have caught a few tiny ones that he seems to really enjoy and he actually caught one on his own without me danging it in front of his face so that's good news. I'm getting some black worms for him soon.
