Can I put a.maculatum and p.cinereus in a tank together they are from the same location.

I wouldn't. P. Cinereus is much smaller, and most people really frown on mixed species enclosures. They almost always go bad sooner or later. The chances of accidental predation are a risk I wouldn't take. Who knows the result if the Pleth was grabbed? It may excrete a toxin and both would die...I really would advise against this mix(or any for that matter). Good luck with them!

I don't think 'accidental' predation would be the case. Almost certainly the spotted would eat the redback pretty quickly.
 
Ambystomid salamanders are usually aggressive towards Plethodontids I heard. Just keep them apart, red backs don't need to big of an enclosure singly.
 
Thank you for the help. They are in seprete cages still.
