I have a bearded dragon with a nematode parasite that he is being treated for, and consequently, I have apparently caught it from him too. The doctor thinks it is pinworms, but we don't know for sure until Friday or Saturday when the cultures come back. I am on a medication for it and feeling much better, so it must be that he was correct.
The dragon also has campylobacter, a bacteria, and I am going to be treated for it as well, as soon as I am done with the worm treatment. This result is definite.
My question is this:
Can my C. orientalis catch either one of these? How would I know if it did?
(If anyone knows anything about sugar gliders or hermit crabs, do I have to worry about them, too?)
Thanks,
Critter Mom
