As in title.
I am hoping to get a leucistic axolotl in future so will need to start swapping out substrate in existing fish tank.
Currently has gravel (obviously not suitable for axolotl!) but was hoping to find a really fine sand substrate, preferably in a darker colour to 'hide' mess/ green and to highlight contrasting colour of a white/pink axolotl.
Also, no idea if this is proven, but I thought a darker colour would help to reduce the overall brightness in the tank as it's less reflective.
I've seen a few online but was hoping for recommendations - don't want to mess up before I even have the animal!
Thanks
