your injured/sick axolotl needs to be tubbed in water containing 100% holtfreters + 0.2g/l magnesium sulphate (if ingredients cant be sourced straight away use 3.5g/l non-iodised salt), whilst he/she is tubbed give daily baths of methylene blue and acriflavine (use both medications together half fish dose 10-15 mins).
what are the full water parameters ie.. temperature, ph, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, kh, gh.
what chemicals are used in tank ie.. declorinator.
are there any other substances being used ie.. added minerals, and treatment etc..
is there anything sharp in the tank?
limb and tail injuries are common with axolotls, the body injuries are questionable though and require further investigation.
when tubbing use pyrex/glass/ceramic not plastic, make sure to put a lid on top, once tubbed could it be possible for more photos taken ie.. underside and above, the damaged limbs and tail, also around the gill area.
