I read somewhere that this type of live food (California red crawlers) is very easy to maintain, in addition to being very well accepted by newts! Someone please tell me where can I read about this?
Thanks!

I have never heard of worms called "california red crawlers". Is this a translation from another language?

If you want to grow earthworms, there are two species that are easy to grow: Eisenia fetida (red wiggler), and Eisenia hortensis (European/Belgian nightcrawler). Is it one of these?

Yes I agree with Jennifer 100% I saw that were you saw it too Lusiwarrior.
Jennifer I think that the term was applied to a normal crawler Ensenia or Dendrobaena, and i saw it English just like Lusiwarrior did.
It was only made up by the person who posted it... Doesn´t show many knowledge indeed...:D

Thanks for your reply Jennewt, but I already have a culture of worms ! I wanted to research on such scanners because I thought that was quite another to consider whether it was feasible to maintain a culture or not!
Eljorgo, to myself the person who wrote such a thing were to refer to American worms used in dicomposting, those red newts that there do not appreciate a lot! :D
Para a frente é que é o caminho, companheiro! Abraço!
