Hi i have been monitoring my newts for a while now and was wondering how long after the tail fanning and blocking will my females eventually begin to lay..

This won't be very helpful, but... it could be last week, next week, a month from now, 3 years from now, or even never. In other words, in my experience there is no way to predict, even for a group of animals that have laid eggs in previous years.
