C. orientalis eating plants?

Hi everyone.

I have noticed my C.o. consuming the leafy plants i have in their tank on several occasions. Anyone else see this kind of behavor?

Only when there was an egg folded in.

I've seen both male and female do it, so if you actually want to raise the eggs it's best to separate them.

Last time I didn't separate them all and some eggs got as far as to hatch, but than the larves got eaten instead.
